Only in Canada: It’s all about scoring
If you’re in Calgary this week, this show, presented by One Yellow Rabbit Performance Theatre, may offer a, um, unique look at Canada’s national pastime.
It’s called Five Hole: Tales of Hockey Erotica:
Rock n’ roll, theatre, hockey and sex! Together at last for a four-way power play, two of Canada’s longest-standing creative forces–Calgary’s One Yellow Rabbit and legendary Toronto rock band Rheostatics hook up to create and perform a series of incisive erotic hockey stories for the stage. Written by Rheostatic and author Dave Bidini, Five Hole weaves together a suite of electrifying, tender and hilarious love stories through the lens of our national pastime.
One Calgary show only: February 16 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall in the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts.
And if you’re not in Calgary, you may be able to score a ticket at one of the upcoming Ontario performances:
- Ottawa — February 27, Centrepointe Theatre
- Kingston — March 3, Grand Theatre
- Kitchener — March 4, Centre In The Square
- St. Catharines — March 6, Centre for the Arts at Brock University
- Brampton — March 10, Rose Theatre
