Less Traveled Canada
Many people who relocate to Canada end up in one of the cities, with Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Calgary drawing the largest number of expats.
But whether you’re looking for a place to settle, or simply an undiscovered destination to explore, check out this Forbes Traveler article on “Less Traveled Canada“ by Vancouver writer Diane Selkirk.
From British Columbia’s wine country — the Okanagan Valley — to the Acadian communities in Nova Scotia, Canada has more than three million square miles to discover.
And interestingly, two of the people Selkirk interviewed for her article relocated to Canada from the U.S.: Michael Tavares, former Bostonian and now co-owner of the MacKinnon-Cann Inn in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and Stephen Cipes, who moved from New York to the Okanagan to set up the Summerhill Pyramid Winery.
