Toronto’s Running Rats

Submitted by on July 27, 2009 – 8:10 amNo Comment

Could you be a Running Rat?

If you live in Toronto and you like to run, you could.

Established in 2002, the Running Rats are a group of Toronto runners, who host a weekly running club called “Rat Tuesdays.”

The Rat Tuesday runs are open to anyone who feels comfortable running distances of at least 10K. You can get more details about these weekly runs at RunningRats.com.

If you’re not ready to run with the Rats (or if you have something better to do on Tuesdays), check out their extensive list of running routes around Toronto. Even New York Times Frugal Traveler” columnist Matt Gross tested out one of the Rats’ recommended runs on a 2008 trip to Toronto.
