AC. es la provincia más verde, pero todo se puede hacer más
En honor de DÃa de la Tierra, Corporate Knights revista ha lanzado una “report card” measuring the “green rating” for each of Canada’s provinces and territories.
British Columbia ranked highest with a score of 69% — a C+. Ontario was in second place en 67%, y el Territorios del Noroeste quedó en tercer lugar en 66%.
Pero con las mejores calificaciones de C , even these high-ranking locations have plenty of room for improvement.
De acuerdo con un Informe CBC Noticias en el estudio, AC. scored particularly well in green jobs, green buildings, alimentos orgánicos, and energy efficiency.
The rankings for the other regions were: Yukon 57%, Nunavut 56%, Alberta 55%, Nueva Escocia 53%, y Saskatchewan 50%. Several provinces receiving “failing” grades, including Quebec 49%, Manitoba 46%, Nuevo Brunswick 40%, Terranova y Labrador 38%, and Prince Edward Island at 32%.
The provinces were scored on ten categories — Air, Agua, Biodiversidad, Gente, Edificio, Transporte, Alimentos, Residuos, EnergÃa, and Toxics — worth ten points each.
