Eating on the street will get more interesting in Toronto this spring, ì§€ê¸ˆì€ ë„시가 승ì¸ë˜ì—ˆìŒì„ a new street food program called “Toronto A La Cart.”
The city announced that eight vendors, selling everything from pad Thai to jerk chicken to bulgogi, ë§ˆì„ ì£¼ë³€ì— ê°€ê²Œë¥¼ ì„¤ì •í•©ë‹ˆë‹¤. Although Toronto has a wealth of ethnic eateries, its street food offerings have thus far been limited to variations on the lowly hot dog. And while eight new food carts serving a metropolitan-area population of more than five million seems a bit, 잘, í¬ë°•í•œ, any increase in street-food options is a souvlaki in the right direction.
The new Toronto A La Cart foods and their locations will include:
- Mel Lastman Square — Thai — Pad Thai with fresh rolls
- Metro Hall — Afghani/Central Asian — Chapli kebabs
- Nathan Phillips Square — Central Asian/Persian — Biryani
- Nathan Philips Square — Greek — Souvlaki
- Queen’s Park — Middle Eastern — Chicken/beef kebab wraps
- Roundhouse Park — Eritrean — Injera
- Yonge & Eglinton — Korean — Bulgogi with seasonal kimchi
- Yonge & 세ì¸íŠ¸. Clair — “Caribfusion” — Jerk chicken
