Mais formas de mestre Toronto
Familiarizar-se com Toronto e quer ver mais do que o typical tourist sights?
A New York Times’ recente “36 Hours in Toronto” artigo highlights some of Toronto’s more eclectic neighborhoods, a partir de West Queen West para Leslieville para Ossington Avenue, which some local wags have already dubbed the “Próximo West Queen West.”
But if you’re looking for a more “feet-on-the-street” way to learn about Toronto neighborhoods, take a free walking tour with TAP em TO, the city’s official “greeter” program.
You can choose which neighborhood you’d like to visit or let the greeter — a volunteer tour guide — pick a favorite area. De qualquer maneira, you’ll be matched up with an enthusiastic local resident-turned-guide who’s passionate about his or her neighborhood.
Sign up for a greeter visit (ideally about a week in advance) em www.toronto.ca/tapto.
And if you’re looking for still more ways to learn about Toronto’s many diverse districts, we offered up some additional tips in our recent post, “Getting Acquainted with Toronto’s Neighborhoods.”
