Looking for a home — or a second home — near the water?

If you’re considering leste do Canadá, ter um olhar para este recente New York Times real estate feature sobre a cidade de Lunenberg, Nova Scotia.

Localizado a cerca de 50 milha (90 km) southwest of Halifax, Lunenberg and its surrounding communities apparently have an active second home market. Lunenberg’s “Old Town” was also named a protected Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO em 1995.

De acordo com o Times artigo, basic summer cottages in the area start at $150,000 Dólares canadenses (EUA $ 135.000), but elaborate waterfront properties run CAD$1 to 2 milhões.
