Good news for parents. Your teenagers like you!
Или, они делают еÑли вы живете в Канаде.
That’s according to Проект ПодроÑток Канада, a multi-year study of Canadian kids and teens, во главе Ñ Ð£Ð½Ð¸Ð²ÐµÑ€Ñитет Летбридж sociologist Реджинальд Бибби.
Among the study’s findings:
Ð’ Канаде ÑегоднÑ, young people are experiencing better ties with their mothers and fathers чем любые групп подроÑтков в поÑледние тридцать лет. Почти 80% say they “are receiving high levels of enjoyment from their mothers” (по Ñравнению Ñ Ð¾ÐºÐ¾Ð»Ð¾ 70% в 1992 and similar to what teens reported in the early 1980s), и примерно 75% report enjoying being with their dads (Также до около деÑÑти процентов).
“The evidence points to an improved level of understanding between young people and their parents. Ð’ 1992, 58% of teens said they were troubled about not being understood by their parents; today the figure has fallen to 39%.”
ПодроÑтки даже Ñообщить fewer weekly arguments with their folks – down from 52% a decade ago to 42% ÑейчаÑ.
So why are Canadian teens finding it easier to get along with their parents?
The study concluded that “one basic reason seems to stand out: moms and dads are doing a much better job of finding a balance between careers and family life.”
