Vancouver’s Canada Line to open ahead of schedule
Ang mahaba-kasabik-sabik Canada Line, isang mabilis na link na pagbibiyahe sa pagitan ng downtown Vancouver, ang Vancouver airport, and the suburban community of Richmond, ay buksan ang katapusan ng linggo ng Labour Araw, tatlong buwan maaga iskedyul, ayon sa an announcement from Premier Gordon Campbell’s office.
Once the line is up and running, a trip between the airport and downtown should take 25 minuto or less.
The new Canada Line is a key component of Vancouver’s transportation plan for the 2010 Palarong Olimpiko sa Taglamig, na kung saan ay magdadala sa lugar sa paligid ng rehiyon noong Pebrero 2010.
Vancouverites have been living with snarled traffic along the Cambie Street corridor at kasama Richmond’s No. 3 Road, kung saan ang mga bagong tren ay tatakbo, and many businesses along the route were forced to close. Gayunman, the city has extensive plans for restoring the neighborhoods that were adversely affected by the Canada Line construction.
