Two of the biggest winter events are Ottawa’s Winterlude, running now through February 22, å’Œ Quebec City’s Winter Carnival, through February 15.

Even relatively balmy Vancouver gets into the act with Winterruption 2009, a performing arts festival that takes over the city’s Granville Island from February 19 到 22.
